Nonyameko Mandindi (Nyami)

Nyami brings vast amounts of executive and organisational leadership experience to all the clients she engages. Her expertise lies in her ability to co-create effective and sustainable business and change strategies with leadership. Her ability to see and action opportunities and networks has been cumulated over many years of experience gained across different industries and sectors initiating complex organisational growth and development projects, working in adversarial and diverse environments coupled with her leadership roles that she has held.

She brings an expertise and passion to organisational development through her skills and facilitation in: Organisational Strategy (Business and Change), Organisational design and structure, leadership development, mentoring and coaching.

Amongst her achievements, Nyami has:

• advised and facilitated Government on procurement reform and the introduction of Private Public Partnerships in SA.
• been actively involved public infrastructure projects like the Gautrain, Mangaung Prison, Maputo corridor, Orlando Stadium and OR Tambo Airport expansions.
• actively participated in the transportation infrastructure planning and investment in preparation for the 2010 World Cup hosting
• led the precinct master planning process for the stations thereby influencing the development along the transport corridors.
• led the Station Operations and Risk Management of the Rea Vaya Bus Rapid System for the City of Johannesburg
• been responsible for the establishment of the operating model for the BRT bus system and the Taxi Industry participation model.
• participated in a project management support capacity in the construction of some of the Olympic Facilities in Atlanta USA in 1995.
• championed the rebranding to Royal Haskoning DHV from SSI (a global engineering consultancy)
• served on the Global Executive Council of Royal Haskoning DHV and chaired a number of the Group subsidiary boards

Nyami has worked in many different leadership positions - Partner and Executive Chair of one of the largest Professional Quantity Surveying Firms, CEO of Intersite Property Management Services, Head of Strategy with Nedbank Corporate Property Finance Executive team, CEO of SSI Engineers and Environmental Consultants, CEO Royal Haskoning DHV and Business Line Director for South & Eastern Africa

She is a Professional Quantity Surveyor from the University of Natal and has completed the Leadership Development programme with Arthur D. Little Institute, Boston, Massachusetts, USA in 1995, Property Development Programme with University of Cape Town in 1998, Strategic Agility Executive Program with London Business School in 2008 and the Private Public Partnership Development course with IP3 Institute, Washington DC, USA in 2011. She recently graduated with an Executive Master in Positive Leadership and Strategy with Instituto de Empressa in Madrid, Spain.

Coupled with her illustrious career Nyami has also serves on several Corporate Boards in executive and non executive director roles and has served in leadership positions in a number of professional and business organisations. She is the recipient of the prestigious Women’s Property Network Five Star Award, which recognises women leaders in the Property Sector.
